Bill Gayler

Major General, US Army (Ret)

Bill Gayler is a Distinguished Military Graduate from North Georgia College and commissioned as an Army Aviation Officer in 1988.  Bill commanded at every level of command up to 2-Star General and extensive experience in operational and combat deployments across Europe, Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Africa.  A few of his key assignments include; Chief of Staff of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Deputy Commanding General of the 7th Infantry Division, Deputy Commanding General of US Army Europe and Commander of US Army NATO Forces, and Commanding General of the US Army Aviation Center of Excellence and Ft. Rucker, AL. In his final assignment on active duty, he served as the J3/Operations Officer, and later Chief of Staff of US Africa Command, Stuttgart, Germany.   

Since retiring from the Army, Bill serves as a Senior Strategic Advisor for PeopleTec Inc.; Independent Consultant with Collins’ Aerospace; Member of the Government Advisory Board for Archer Aviation; Member of the Corps Advisory Council of the University of North Georgia; and member of the Board of Directors for ATLVets serving our veterans.  Bill volunteers as the Co-Chair for the Screaming Eagle Aviation Association and with the Wounded Warriors in Action foundation.  He enjoys golf, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
