Glossary

Data analytics/exploration is the process of viewing and studying large data sets in order to deduce different patterns, trends, and information that can be beneficial in decision-making. It applies different tools and techniques to review data, find the relations between pieces, and develop valuable insight.

Almost every analysis starts with data exploration. During this stage, an analyst inspects and cleans the data, determining its structure and important features through simple analyses.

This easy step is very important for guiding more detailed analysis and ensuring that conclusions are based on a solid understanding of the data.
