Virtualitics Launches GenAI Toolkit to Power Next-Generation Readiness Agents for Defense

Highlights

  • GenAI Toolkit to enable purpose-built first-of-its-kind Readiness AI Agents
  • The toolkit enables defense teams to support mission-critical decisions across DoD with explainability, security, and human-in-the-loop architecture
  • Lays the foundation for agentic AI tailored to sustainment, logistics, and planning
  • Enables rapid, explainable insights for non-technical users on the front lines

PASADENA, Calif., May 22, 2025 — Virtualitics, the Mission AI Company, today introduced its Generative AI Toolkit for the Virtualitics AI Platform, a foundation purpose-built for deploying mission-specific AI agents designed to speed decision-making across defense sustainment, logistics, and readiness workflows. This release marks a significant step toward enabling AI agents that can support faster, more informed decision-making across complex Department of Defense (DoD) environments.

“We’re not just dropping generic LLMs into defense environments,” said Rob Bocek, Chief Revenue Officer at Virtualitics. “We’re engineering solutions from the front lines back, meeting operators where they are and helping them move faster with confidence.”

The GenAI Toolkit is a foundational addition to the Virtualitics AI Platform, providing secure, flexible, and containerized large language models (LLMs), along with tailored capabilities including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), developer-ready interfaces and Readiness Sigma (RSIG), a new domain-focused summarization capability. These tools are designed to streamline AI deployment for operational use cases, accelerating insight generation while maintaining transparency and trust.

Introducing the GenAI Toolkit: Building AI Agents for Mission Readiness

Unlike generic AI platforms that expect users to build their own agents from scratch, Virtualitics starts with mission context, building agents around specific readiness challenges such as part shortages, sustainment planning, and resource allocation. Each Readiness AI Agent is crafted to reduce decision burden, surface critical information from data silos, and provide explainable outputs that align with human workflows.

Included in the Virtualitics GenAI Toolkit are tools designed to help defense developers deploy intelligent agents and GenAI capabilities securely, quickly, and with mission-specific precision, including:

  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG): Connects secure, trusted data sources to GenAI models for grounded responses.
  • Containerized LLMs: Deployable on any approved system, keeping sensitive data protected and models mission-specific.
  • Developer Interfaces: Enables easy integration of GenAI capabilities into AI applications running on the Virtualitics AI Platform.
  • Readiness Sigma (RSIG): Condenses large groups of domain specific reports to surface key insights fast.

“At Virtualitics, we’ve taken a fundamentally different approach to generative AI, one that starts with the mission, not just the model,” said Dr. Sagar Indurkhya, Chief Scientist at Virtualitics. “Our Generative AI Toolkit was purpose-built to ensure the AI agents we develop are operationally grounded, secure, and explainable. We designed it to empower developers and operators alike, especially non-technical decision-makers, with clarity, context, and control.”

This launch builds on Virtualitics’ momentum in defense innovation. The company is one of fewer than 1% to achieve four Phase III SBIR production contracts last year, validating its AI platform through real-world deployments with the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and other Government agencies. Applications like Integrated Readiness Optimization (IRO) already support mission-critical sustainment and logistics. The GenAI Toolkit now takes this further, laying the groundwork for future Readiness Agents that interact with users through natural language, understand context, and respond with precision.

The first Readiness AI Agents powered by the GenAI Toolkit will be ready this summer, starting with use cases in predictive maintenance and materiel forecasting. These agents will work within existing IRO applications to simplify complex decisions and enable AI at the point of action, without removing the human from the loop.

Virtualitics’ approach to agentic AI reflects its core commitment: deliver operational-grade AI that is secure, explainable, and purpose-built for the mission.
