Welcoming Patrick Nelligan and Jeff Johnson to Virtualitics’ Federal Advisory Team

We are proud to announce the addition of two extraordinary government leaders to the Virtualitics federal advisory team: Patrick Nelligan and Jeff Johnson. With a combined legacy that spans military excellence, national security, advanced analytics, and technological innovation, these experts bring a wealth of experience and visionary leadership that will propel Virtualitics into the future.

Patrick Nelligan: A Legacy of Service and Leadership

Patrick “Chief” Nelligan joins us after an illustrious 42-year career in the United States Army, culminating in his role as the 8th Command Chief Warrant Officer of the United States Army Reserve Command. In this prestigious position, he oversaw all Army Reserve Warrant Officers, ensuring the highest standards of leadership and readiness.

Patrick currently serves as the Lead Biomedical Equipment Support Specialist (BESS) at the Veterans Administration’s Newington Connecticut campus, where he continues to make a profound impact on the lives of veterans.

Since retiring from the Army in March 2024, Patrick has dedicated himself to eliminating suicide in the military and veteran communities–a cause that reflects his deep commitment to service and well-being. His leadership and passion for making a difference to mission will be invaluable as we work together to continue to achieve breakthrough capability at Virtualitics.

Jeff Johnson: A Leader in Federal Data + Analytics

Jeff Johnson brings over 20 years of customer-focused experience in engineering, security, and enterprise IT across both the private and public sectors. As the former Vice President of Enterprise Analytics at the United States Postal Service (USPS), Jeff was instrumental in leveraging data and technology to drive performance and improve efficiencies. His work in enhancing scanning processes, integrating mail and package network information, and managing the national address system underscored his ability to lead large-scale technological transformations.

Before his tenure at USPS, Jeff served as the Chief Technology Officer for the FBI, where he led the delivery of a groundbreaking case management system and strengthened the agency’s threat awareness capabilities. His leadership in the FBI is recognized as a case study in exceptional agile development processes.

Jeff’s private sector experience includes leading global banking technology teams focused on Information Security, Infrastructure performance, and Unified Communications. His career also includes distinguished service as a U.S. Naval Officer where he focused on networking, messaging, and database infrastructure, further demonstrating his broad expertise in IT and security across the Fleet.  Jeff is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD.

A Dynamic Duo for Virtualitics’ Federal Civilian Business

“We are excited about the unique expertise and leadership both Patrick Nelligan and Jeff Johnson bring to the team. Their combined experiences in military leadership, national security, and vision for technical innovation will be critical as we continue to push the boundaries of what is possible across the Federal landscape with artificial intelligence,” said Rob Bocek, President, Public Sector at Virtualitics. “I’m confident their partnership and passion for the mission will help us reach new heights and create meaningful impact for our customers. ”

Please join us in welcoming Chief and Jeff to the Virtualitics family.
