Meet Larry Geddings: Director of Readiness

“As a career Infantryman in the U.S. Army, I’ve experienced the challenges and complexities of data overload and decision paralysis that come from having too much data and not enough understanding,” says Larry Geddings, Director of Readiness at Virtualitics. “I’m grateful to now be in a role where I can help leaders of all ranks leverage AI to truly understand the opportunities and risks that impact their units.”

After nearly three decades of service in the U.S. Army, Larry was ready to embark on a new mission. His tenure with the U.S. Army Futures and Concepts Center instilled in him a deep understanding of the roles Artificial Intelligence, Autonomy, and Robotics would play in the future of national defense and warfare.

For Larry, transitioning his career into the tech industry was a natural next step. When the opportunity arose to join Virtualitics through the SkillBridge Hiring Our Heroes Internship, he seized it. The internship soon evolved into a full-time role, first as a Solutions Leader, and now as the Director of Readiness.

“I jumped at the opportunity to learn a new facet of supporting our national defense by joining the emerging leader in AI-driven analytics,” says Larry.

Empowering Readiness in the Digital Era

At Virtualitics, Larry focuses on improving the readiness and warfighting capabilities of the U.S. military through cutting-edge applications of AI. By leveraging a “team of teams” approach, Larry ensures that every Virtualitics department collaborates seamlessly to support the DoD. This collective effort translates into solutions that aren’t just software to customers—they’re transformative tools that bolster mission success.

Beyond his technical contributions, Larry serves as a trusted advisor to the military leaders he supports. Communication and collaboration remain at the heart of his work, as he navigates the dual responsibilities of empowering his internal team and fostering strong partnerships with external stakeholders. “As a retired soldier, I bring context and insights to the table that help bridge the gap between technology and real-world application,” he says.

For Larry, the future at Virtualitics is as exciting as it is meaningful. “Our team is forging the future of integrated readiness optimization,” he states proudly. “I see my work here as a continuation of my service—a way to contribute to our nation’s safety and strength in an evolving world.”
