VP Public Policy and Planning

As Virtualitics’ VP of Public Policy and Planning, Nicole DiResta spearheads the company’s government affairs and legislative strategy. Her responsibilities include navigating the political landscape, tracking government priorities and budget trends, and communicating policy impacts to internal stakeholders. She develops and implements a legislative strategy to raise awareness of Virtualitics, advance growth opportunities, and advocate for policies that support the company’s strategic goals.

Nicole brings more than 25 years of experience and knowledge of the government landscape and national security. Before joining Virtualitics, Nicole was the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Everfox, a prominent cybersecurity firm specializing in national security. In this capacity, she was responsible for global government relations, overseeing the executive advisory board, and contributing to the development and execution of the company’s vision and growth strategy.

Nicole also served as a Senior Vice President at Cassidy and Associates, a leading government relations firm based in Washington, D.C. There, she excelled at helping clients anticipate, comprehend, and navigate the federal government’s policy, budgetary, and regulatory landscape, successfully safeguarding their interests while creating new opportunities.

Nicole has extensive legislative experience, having served for 16 years on Capitol Hill, including serving on the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense as a Professional Staff Member. She also served as Professional Staff Member for the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Treasury and General Government, and on the personal staffs of Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) and Congressman Edward Markey (D-MA).

In addition to her work at Virtualitics, Nicole is the Executive Director of the Rule XVI Society, an alumnae organization for Senate Appropriations Committee staff.
