Patrick “Chief” Nelligan had an illustrious 42-year career in the United States Army,
culminating in his role as the 8th Command Chief Warrant Officer of the United States
Army Reserve Command. In this prestigious position, he oversaw all Army Reserve
Warrant Officers, ensuring the highest standards of leadership and readiness.Patrick
currently serves as the Lead Biomedical Equipment Support Specialist (BESS) at the
Veterans Administration’s Newington Connecticut campus, where he continues to make
a profound impact on the lives of veterans. Since retiring from the Army in March 2024,
Patrick has dedicated himself to eliminating suicide in the military and veteran
communities–a cause that reflects his deep commitment to service and well-being.
